The late sculptor, painter and musician, Michael John Carey, lived and worked in Berkeley, California from 1978 through 2017.His work celebrates our elemental bond with animals and mankind’s place in the larger natural world. Carey carved many of his own highly ornate frames in a style that extended the art and conjured the folk art traditions he so admired.
